Andrew has been a multi-instrumentalist from a young age. Getting his first guitar at 6 years old, he started on his journey in music. While not taking any formal lessons until much later, he developed his technique of learning songs by ear. And what a perfect era for it! The 80’s had the best access to all kinds of music, from rock, to pop, and metal, he had a keen interest in anything he could listen to.
Watching TV shows like Rage, and eventually recording entire 6-hour long programs, he picked out every song that appealed to him and took the time to learn every note. Cutting his teeth on groups like Alice In Chains, Live, Elton John, Alice Cooper, The Cars and John Cougar Mellencamp, there was plenty of variety to learn from.
Over the years, he expanded to keyboards (although not for long), bass, drums, singing, trumpet (yes, he played trumpet in his primary school band) and any other instruments he can get his hands on.
